“Robinson was one of the top safeties to perform on Tuesday,” Sports Illustrated’s Tony Pauline said. “His 40 time clocked in the low 4.5-second range, his broad jump measured 12 feet, 5 inches and Robinson showed cornerback-type skills during drills.
“He was quick-footed in every direction and showed a terrific burst to the ball in every direction.”
Robinson’s broad jump ranked fourth among safeties, while his 4.52 40-yard dash put him second.
“Michigan State safety Trenton Robinson, he gives 110%. 4.4 (ish) speed, nice reserve and special teamer there,” Draft Countdown’s Shane P. Hallam said.
Hallam added he thought Robinson helped himself with his performance and he should get noticed more.
Robinson also benched 225 pounds 15 times, had a vertical leap of 35.0 inches and a time of 4.15 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle.
“A safety with kind of a corner’s build. He is going to get some hard looks. Cause he has got some movement skills and is not afraid to strike you either,” Charley Casserly said on air.
