Default Esiason: Bears would appeal to Cowher

Esiason: Bears would appeal to Cowher

May 14, 2012

NFL analyst Boomer Esiason shared his thoughts Monday on the Chicago Bears' need to commit to the passing game and whether he ever could envision Bill Cowher coming out of retirement and perhaps pacing the Soldier Field sidelines.

The only two coaching spots that I think that he would ever come out of retirement for ... one would be the New York Giants and the other one would be the Chicago Bears, because hes that type of guy, Esiason said of Cowher, his CBS Sports colleague, on "The McNeil and Spiegel Show" on WSCR-AM 670.

Being so close to him over the last few years and watching him go through his total personal-life upheaval with the death of his wife and watching how hes handled that with great dignity and professionalism, Im just telling you, there is no dirt on that man. This guy is as good as he seems. Hes everything that youd expect him to be.,1841577.story
