When the Baltimore Ravens entered the city of Baltimore in 1996, the expectations were high. Not only had the city been absent of a professional football team for 12 years, but this franchise had a strong group of veterans that were expected to subdue the usual growing pains of a young, newly organized squad. It didn't take long for the Baltimore Ravens to follow through on its promises. In 2001 the Ravens would go on to beat the New York Giants 34-7 and win Super Bowl XXXV.
