Default Ben about to pass Terry in yards

Different era, different game, but still a nice feather in his cap. The Steelers' most attempts under Terry in a season were 492 in 1979, 484 in 1980. Those numbers would have been good enough for 27th in last year's NFL.

And 1979 and 1980 were after the league implemented the Mel Blount rule. In 1975, perhaps the Steelers best team every threw the ball 337 times, almost 100 fewer passes than the 32nd team last season.

Just some perspective as the league continues to verbally fellate guys like Drew Brees and Tom Brady for playing pitch and catch across the middle.
