With muscle injuries you need to look at the training staff as far as game prep. as for joint injuries or bones, those things happen. Although I do think part of the problem these days is the reliance on heavy weight training. The body's tendons and ligaments is not equipped to handle the the increased muscle size and pressure put on them by the weight training done these days or the "supplementation" that goes along with that.
It's not just pro sports or pro football either, all sport at most all levels from high school forward are experiencing the same thing.
