With Pouncey questionable, Steelers promote a blocker

With injuries mounting and center Maurkice Pouncey questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals, the Steelers made a roster move Saturday.
The team announced they promoted offensive lineman John Malecki to the active roster, releasing defensive lineman Corbin Bryant to make room.
Malecki, a University of Pittsburgh product, has been on their practice squad parts of the last two seasons, after going to camp with the Titans as an undrafted rookie in 2010.
Pouncey has been optimistic about his chances of playing despite his knee injury, but the Steelers are also without tackle Marcus Gilbert, knocking them down to six other healthy bodies prior to the transaction.
