Thanks for taking the time to read a long piece. I agree with both of you - the 2005 Steelers proved that they're capable of transforming a disappointing season in a SB victory. But, that was a different team with a different set of coaches...so, it's really hard to tell what's going to happen at this point.
One thing that is for sure is that, as I suggested in my post...Ben has been officially ruled and Batch will be the starter. Let's hope that he's shaken off the rust, gotten warmed up, and that Haley's made the necessary adjustments to give our offense the best chance to win. And it's probably that he's been taking snaps all week - it's entirely possible that the offense will have become more accustomed to playing with Batch - by playing with the same QB two weeks in a row for the first time since Ben's injury, one could only hope that some degree of chemistry has emerged.
Having a signature is overrated.
