He is a Hawkeye legend. He literally took a Hawkeye program that was absolutely awful and made them a force to be reckoned with. He did it at a school that doesn't get the huge name recruits, a football program in the Heart of the Midwest that most recruits turn down because they want to play in warmer weather. I think it's awesome that he wanted to model the Hawkeyes after the Steelers. I'm black and gold through and through!

Just look at the Coaching tree that came from Coach Fry. Bob Stoops, Kirk Ferentz, Barry Alvarez, Bret Bielema, Chuck Long, Jim Leavitt, Dan Mccarney, etc...
