Here's some logic.
He changed the rules for blocking. We put Mel Blount on a high pedestal for changing the rules so Hines deserve the same.
He's a SB MVP.
Until Santonio, he was really the only sure, consistent WR we had.
Greatest blocking WR ever.
And has all WR records on a franchise with 2 HOF WRs.
He's got too many GOAT credentials for certain scenarios to take him off the list.
SI explained these were the reasons why he was on there. Traditional WR stats are great but Hines deserves recognition because he is the greatest non traditional WR ever.
All of that said, I'd take AB at this age over Hines in his prime.
