The distinction is based on First Amendment/Fourteenth Amendment protections for porn that do not apply to prostitution - you are part of a performance involving protected speech as a porn star as opposed to just selling sex as a hooker - that is not clearly established law everywhere but it is the law in California, which is where "Belle" practices her craft
Of course you can turn tricks in Nevada where prostitution is legal - a compelling reason for the GOP to accept the Vegas bid for the 2016 convention
