I think there is a lot more to this story that is not out to the public. Bob Stoops just threw away the OU season this year and maybe even next year - unless there is a rabbit in the hat. He perhaps wanted to slam the door shut before the entire program goes on probation and his tenure at OU comes to a close.
Adrian Petersen might want to consider how many touches he really wants this year. Burning out before the draft might not be a good thing.
