If Anthony maintains and or exceeds his current level of play/practice,....i'd say give him a shot. I really believe the "growing pains" he'd experience wouldn't have nearly the negative impact on our D,... as his physicality, motor, intelligence and playmaking ability would benefit the unit.
I mean some of his greatest strengths are his abilty to play center fielder and diagnose plays. How many more big play's would he give up than an "average" Ryan Clark or Ty ? He (Smith) would be my choice,......but,....coach will probably play it as cautious as ever,......and start Clark.
