Default Hot "Crab" Dip

I use the imitation crab that you can find in the refrigerated section or freezer section most of the time.... If I am really feeling rich, I will substitute real crab meat - - canned works fine, too....

1 package Cream cheese (8 oz.)
1 C. Hellman's or Best Foods Mayonnaise
2 tsp. minced garlic (I use the stuff in a jar)
2 - 4 tsp. horseradish
8 to 12 ounces of crab meat - - chopped coarsely
Seasoned salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
Slivered almonds are a nice touch but not necessary...

Soften the cream cheese in the microwave, mix in other ingredients thoroughly and spread into a pyrex or metal pie tin or serving dish.... Top with slivered almonds if you have them.....

Bake at 350? for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned....
Serve with crackers or sturdy chips - - tostitos are good....

I just like to eat it with a spoon....
