It takes him off the ice for five minutes. It's bad enough Therrien chooses not to keep him out on the ice for the full two minutes of a PP (Ovechkin does). How you take your best player off the ice during a PP I will never understand. He's young. He can take it and I'm sure he would gladly take it.
The chance of him breaking a hand. If Crosby goes down, this team is done. It's bad enough we have our two best penalty killers out and our starting goaltender.
Rather see the fights left up to Laraque and basically anybody else on that roster with the exception of #71. It's all fun and games until you lose the best player on your team and in the NHL for weeks because of a broken hand he received while fighting and watching your team fall to last place (or close to) in the east.
