Default Ex Steeler accused of setting fire to chicken plant

When ex-Steelers guard Terry Long's chicken processing plant on the North Side burned in 2003, he told reporters he was just glad no one got hurt and said "I don't really care" about the money.

But it turns out he did care, according to Pittsburgh arson investigators and federal agents.

Yesterday Long, 45, of Sewickley, appeared in federal court to face charges that he torched his company, Value Added Foods, for $1.1 million in insurance money and also defrauded the state of some $1.2 million through business loan schemes.
