Re: NHL Premiere keeps expanding 'The Global Game'
I'm not a fan of it either, for the same reason - losing a home game. Not only that, it has to suck for the players because TC is shortened by a week and it's not like they'll be flying from Pittsburgh to Ottawa and vice-versa. Plus, the Pens will be playing Jokerit of the Finnish Elite League on October 2. I mean, it's nice that the NHL wants to promote itself internationally, but with the internet, YouTube and other things, it's just not necessary to play games over there, IMO.
BTW, if you're planning on attending a game, individual tickets go on sale September 20 at 10 AM, and I'd suggest you be online right then if you want to get tickets to the best games. I'm hoping they have a pre-sale for season ticket holders so that I can buy tickets to a couple of extra games because I'm going to be out of town that day. Otherwise, you can either buy from Penguins TicketExchange, StubHub or scalpers.
