The Pittsburgh Penguins gave viewers a variety show this week—a loss, a win and an OT win.
The Penguins suffered an embarrassing loss on Monday night, losing to the Carolina Hurricanes, the NHL team with the worst record (7-17-5). Plus, the Pens gave the Hurricanes their first road win this season.
In the first period, the Hurricanes scored two goals. Andrew Alberts scored his first of the season at 4:45 in the first after taking a pass from Ray Whitney and backhanding a shot past Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Eric Staal, brother of Penguins center Jordan Staal, also assisted....
