Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) at Atlanta Falcons (6-6)

Falcons soar to an upset

Chris Redman led the Falcons to historical win

Box Score
- 07 - 06 - 00 - 07- 20

- 00 - 14 - 10 - 07- 31

It was over when...
With six minutes left and up 24-13 Derrick Ward ran in a 15 yard touchdown to put the Falcons up 31-13 and the game to bed.

Game Ball
Chris Redman came in as a replacement for the injured Matt Ryan and completed 12 of 18 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Key Stat
The Steelers only had one sack (2nd play of the game) and let Chirs Redman have all day to pass it around to Plaxico Burress and Tony Gonzalez.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 15 of 20 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns.

PITTSBURGH, PAŚ The Steelers didn't kill any birds today -- The Falcons swept over it's prey and got the win.

The Steelers allowed too many pass plays past them and only gained 86 yards in the second half to allow the Falcons to pummell them in their last NFC Conference Game of the season.

"We only made plays at the end of the game forcing them into three and out's and gaining big passing plays" said Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

"It's a bit dissapointing" mumbled Max Starks.

It is a dissapointment that they had held the #2 seed and have now dropped down to seed #4 something that might of cost them a shot at homefield advantage during the playoffs if Seeds #1-#3 win out.

They host the Miami Dolphins next week in which the Steelers can end the Dolphins shot at a playoff birth.

Notes:Limas Sweed broke his ribs and has been placed on Injured Reserve
