Isaly's chipped ham is regarded as a delicacy.
My dad still calls them gumbands. He also worked at Isaly's for a long time and told me all about chipped ham. He's told me many stories from workin there and how they started the Klondike bar. He said though that Isaly's no longer exists and that it went out of business and the Klondike bar is all that is left of what was once a fairly large chain all over western PA, eastern Ohio, and some in WV. It's sad, I could really go for some chipped ham. Peace.
