Spoke too soon on Tangradi. Not sure why the Pens did this, but he was sent down to Wheeling. Very odd. Hopefully he makes it back up here soon, I think he'd be a good addition to the team.

Penguins Set Regular-Season Roster

Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins made the following moves to set their 23-man regular-season roster, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

The Penguins assigned left wing Eric Tangradi to Wheeling of the ECHL and defenseman Simon Despres to Saint John of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Pittsburgh also placed forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel and defenseman Alex Grant on the injured reserve list and center Jordan Staal on the injured-non roster list.

The Penguins recalled goaltender Patrick Killeen from Wheeling.

The transactions set the teamís 23-man roster: 13 forwards; seven defensemen; and three goaltenders.|PIT|home
