Because when he doesn't hold, he's a better blocker than Heath and Johnson. He's not a pass reciever, he wasn't in college, his numbers were very modest in the receptions, only like 300-400 yards a season, but he won the award for best tight end because he's a pure tight end, which is a blocker who happens to be able to catch. He's also listed as the last resort offensive linement because of how well he blocks.
If anyone remembers Miller had a lot of holding calls in his first couple years in the league.
