What? He had more touchbacks in half a season than Reed had his entire career. And I'm not even concerned about his post season misses as none of them were layups. The kicks he missed in Heinz involved gusting, swirling winds (and one kick definitely went from splitting the uprights to the wind blowing it wide left). The 52 yarder in the SB I thought had less than 50% chance and even though the shank looked bad, a miss is a miss (no matter how bad the kick).
Signing a kicker in the offseason tells me the Steelers are keeping Suisham and bringing in some competition (as the Steelers have done every year for 20 years).
I think it would be a waste of a draft pick on a young guy who will need to learn how to kick in Heinz when you have a guy who has experience and seems to be appreciated in the locker room.
