Default Re: NFL fines Polamalu $15,000

The Ravens player did in fact receive a fine (same amount) for a horse collar tackle.

Quote:
Pittsburgh Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu confirmed with Pittsburgh reporters that he had been fined for his horse-collar tackle of Ravens running back Ricky Williams in the Ravens' 35-7 thrashing on Sunday. The amount of the fine was $15,000.

The Ravens' Brendon Ayanbadejo is apparently getting similar treatment. The linebacker was sanctioned for his horse-collar tackle of Steelers kick returner Antonio Brown in the first quarter, according to an NFL spokesman via his Twitter account.

In response to a query about whether the player who had tackled Brown had also been fined for his horse-collar tackle, Greg Aiello wrote, "Yes, he did."

UPDATE: Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network reported that Ayanbadejo was fined $15,000.
