I don't think Gay had a good game at all.

Taylor was bailed out by Painter's overthrow, but he shadowed Reggie Wayne most of the game and held him to 3 catches for 24 yards on 13 targets. That's what a shutdown line looks like--it's not only based on the number of times you're thrown at.

Pretty much the only time Indy was successful was throwing to Garcon--primarily that was against Gay with one pass that I recall on Lewis.

He didn't have a terrible game--he had a nice tackle in the open field and he didn't get beat for any big gains--but he gave up multiple first downs and was pretty much the main crack in our passing defense.
