Yeah, '83 was not our finest hour. People talk about how well the Steelers draft as though it's an every year thing, but the reality is that we seem to have regularly spaced out ber-drafts. Most years we're just solid, but we also have regularly spaced crap drafts with just one good player (or even none). Check out 2008, 1997 or 1988 vs. 2007, 2002, and 1992. There might be better examples of both the boom and bust years. 1974 and of course 1983 come to mind.
