OH.....
My bad. I didn't thoroughly read through it.

Doesn't surprise me he said that.

Yep, even Jerome Bettis had some critical things to say about the team after he retired. They have to do that if they want to work in the media business.

I dont care about his past that much! Yet, as long as he ends up fitting in with and getting along with EVERYONE is my concern! Also being a good fit for us, finding his Steeler swag! ;-)

I agree; I had the opportunity to listen in what Rod said as well. I didn't hear anything come out of his mouth that most have already said on NFL Live, NFL Network, and the sports writers there in Pittsburgh. Rod is an analyst, I think he is impartial as well. If you read the Post-Gazette, the F/O had to tell Haley to call Big Ben and squash all of the negative talk surrounding the facility.

Todd Haley will not be playing golf with Big Ben; he is going to become his coach, criticize him when he does smothing stupid, probably praise him when he does something right. I've said this numerous of times, Big Ben and his improvisions has won the Steelers some games, but it has also lost them some games too.

Of course the team/FO would prefer to have players and coaches that are friends, that's great, but when one of them is a colossal dumb ass and is holding back the team he's got to go. There is no position that should be held on to only because your friends with another player/coach, it's about winning and Arians was holdimg us back from doing more of it.

I think Ben will make the adjustments and we move forward. He's been around long enough.

My guess is Rooney was looking for an OC, not a buddy pal
