Jets are trying to trade him now after acquiring Tebow because he is unhappy about it. I think I'd take a chance on him for a backup QB over what we have now

Well one thing is for sure........i love our starter, but man, our backup situation SUCKS

Our record when Ben has been out the last couple of years hasn't been bad. Not like we're the Colts or anything.

I would approve of Stanton as our backup. We can get him cheap, probably for a 5th or 6th round pick, and from the times I've seen him play (admittedly not very often) he's looked capable.

I really don't think it's necessary. I actually like Troy Smith and either Batch or Leftwich back for the QB stable. I definitely wouldn't want to give up another draft pick for a backup like they did to get Leftwich back.

It really has not been bad, sort of surprising...Charlie did well last year....We could never win a playoff game with him though....I have not seen Lefty in so long, i dont know? Troy Smith? C'mon
