But, does Pat see him as a OLB pass rush specialist or moving to ILB??
I said it before, Kendricks gets pushed around on the inside by O linemen. Watch the game against Stanford this year and no.........it wasnt all DeCastro blocking him, but the OG and OT on the opposite side of DeCastro and Martin. London Fletcher is strong at the point of attack, Kendricks waits until the play gets to him on interior runs. I think he is better as a 4-3 Will LB prospect.

london fletcher in terms of size but the comparison ends there.
i do agree he gets bullied inside when guards/tackles get through the d-line (mostly on pulls/traps) but playing behind an elite NT and DE's he could be SCARY good. pro's: the kid flat out flies to the ball heavy hitter/tackle who can jar the ball loose intelligent work ethic/effort on every play ball carrier goes down upon contact great speed/athleticism best cover LB in the draft position flexibility talented pass rusher 3 down backer regardless of scheme cons: instinctive but guesses to much overly aggressive at times gets pushed around when OL lock onto him does not use his low center well and loses leverage fights whiffs ocassionally short and can be thrown over to taller TE's/WR's id still take him every single time if hes there when we pick in the 2nd. maybe even trade up to get him. the pros far outweigh the cons. |
