PENGUINS SIGN D NISKANEN TO TWO-YEAR, $4.6 MILLION CONTRACT - Niskanen is slated to make $2.1 million in 2012-13 and $2.5 million the following year.

No, both him and Suter signed matching 10 year/$98 mill contracts with Minnesota last week. Pretty sure the news came when the forum was down lol.

Semin and Doan are the big FA's on the table now, and Nash still a possibility for a trade. (wouldn't mind seeing Doan here for the right price)

For defense I guess either Kubina or Spacek would be ok. Not a lot to choose from though really.
