I agree, I think DG did a great evaluation of the players.

Hope to see next weeks game broke down too...

Not saying his doesn't make a nice living for like 5 plays a game, but still.

Anyway, I should add that I meant Walter McFadden (CB, Bryant McFadden's brother), not Marshall McFadden (linebacker, unrelated).

Also, in hindsight, Ramon Foster and Marcus Gilbert didn't play all that terribly, especially on that first drive. And to be fair to Foster, I was wrong, he did pull successfully twice, although he's still not particularly...gallant.

I'd also like to reiterate again that Stevenson Sylvester, from an assignment standpoint, actually did have a great game, keeping in mind that everything in this game was vanilla. His problem was a couple of physical errors. He missed a handful of tackles, maybe three or four. However, he also made some good, solid plays too, including a tackle for a loss. What was particularly impressive was that he seemed to have a real nose for the gaps in getting through the line and into the backfield. He continues to play with his pad level too high, however, which I suspect is a factor in some of his missed opportunities.
For $825k I would be willing to give up my body like that. What does he play, maybe 20 snaps per game?

Not saying I wouldn't take the job for the money v. actual effort, but I'd sure as hell be terrified of blowing an ACL every snap!

I remember the footage of the Steeler longsnapper from about five years ago who was being helped off the field - he didn't even have full weight on his knee - and it completely collapsed on him sideways. I nearly yacked. Anyone remember that guy's name? Anyhow, you are particularly vulnerable at the position, and I wouldn't take the money for any position on an NFL team... except maybe #3 QB.

Greg Warren? I seem to remember a knee injury from Greg, and he's actually still our long-snapper.

Hmmm... no, I don't think it was him. Need to look into it. It was grisly.

Edit: Yup, it was Warren. He turned up in a Google search. Can someone look at the videos and confirm that it was him?

Dammit. I really wish I hadn't watched that.

Happened to Warren twice in fact. Jared Retkofsky filled in after both injuries. Not sure if it's sad or awesome that I not only know who he is, but how to spell his name from memory.

The first time happened in the game against the Giants where Harrison was forced to long snap and he threw the ball through the back of the endzone. I believe the safety tied the game and set the Giants up for the game winning drive.
