We've lost 3 of our last 4 games, all of them to Denver and Oakland (neither of whom will win shit this year), in one of those games they didn't have a QB and still beat us. Carson Palmer raped us sunday and he's never done a thing against us.

This defense is lacking talent, simple as that.

Once again, I'm going to enjoy making all of you eat crow when we are yet again a top-5 defense by year's end. Can't wait for the "yeah, but that's only on paper" excuses. Some people are just never happy.

Ben "choked away" the game in Oakland by throwing for 384 yards, 4 TDs, and giving his defense a 10-point 4th quarter lead?

Maybe Eli needs to be clutchier. He's 79-54 in his career, Ben is 91-39, including playoffs for both.

To be fair for the sake of objectivity, while I agree with all the sentiments about the defense looking real raggedy, the offense in the 4th quarter yielded 0 points, committed a crucial turnover, and failed to convert a vital 3rd down after they had just converted on 4th down in attempt to keep the putrid defense off the field.

The defense is definitely in hurting way, literally and figuratively, but the offense can't turn the ball over and come to a grinding halt in the 4th quarters of these games against inferior teams. It just opens the door for bad things to happen, as we saw Sunday, and so many other times in the last few years. If the offense even gets 3 pts. in the 4th quarter, the Steelers prolly sneak out of Oakland with an ugly win, instead of an ugly loss.

Pit O had time of possession in Denver, but they didn't put up enough points to win

0, 10, 3, 6. @ Denver - they scored 1 touchdown
3, 10, 7, 7 v. NYJ - another slow start, but 1 TD in every quarter after that
14,3, 14, 0 @ Oakland= played great in 1st and 3rd @ oa

I still thought they looked to be in the right direction. They improved greatly against Jets, and improved a little more @ Oakland.

Even though in half of the quarters played through 3 games they failed to score a TD, they still kept us in it and gave us leads, which is a lot more I can say about this defense right now. We almost won in spite of the fumbling last game. I was mad when they put the D in a bad position - but the D still has to do its job and rise to the occasion and make 1 effin stop

They couldn't hold the Oakland Raiders offense to just a field goal in every single quarter. And as previously mentioned, offenses are scoring on average a point a minute against this D. That is unacceptable.

Will I stick a fork in them? No. But going 1-3 against Eagles at home, in what should be a huge bounce back game will shut some homers up. Hope I'm wrong.

You let those young guys on the D-Line play instead of Hampton and Keisel and you will see a change in the defense. I love this team but its pretty obvious that the D-Line needs addressed. Hampton is still not even close to 100% and if he is he is 100% then he is finished, Keisel has done a lot of great work for the team but he is just getting pushed around. Let Heyward and McClendon play the majority of the downs with Hood let some youth and speed come in and make a difference.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!! Those must be some nice drugs you are on. The offensive problems in the last game had nothing to do with Ben. More like Fumbleitis by his teammates. Ben was almost perfect in that game. Get real man.
