Default Gruden's love affair with Romo

Maybe he will finally stop calling him one of the best and he even called him the best out of the pockect, said him and Rogers were the best at it outside of the pocket. I'm sorry but Gruden is not only wrong but an asshole! Bring Jaws back to MNF at this point.....

Hopefully Tony Romo can lead the Steelers to a victory in Dallas later in the year like he did in 2008.

the guy is in the same category as Mark Sanchez, meaning he is not a leader and doesn't have "it" - he really has this awe shucks thing going on for him

I don't hate the guy, just don't think he has it in him to win huge games. You don't get spanked like that at home, and you certainly don't pull a Neil O'Donnell throw to the defenders all day type performance, especially under the pressure him and Witten are under already

If they are out of the playoffs again, I'm sure we'll be seeing Dallas looking for a QB in the next couple of seasons

Tony Romo is a pretty good guy, he's just not that great a QB. The Philip Rivers of the NFC.

Thas exactly what i was going to say. A "philip rivers" clone. Both very good QB's, but they both are missing that "it" factor that the Brady's, the Bree's, the Ben's have.
I'd put him just a shade under Rivers.
I certainly get SICK and tired of the accolades that continue to get thrown his way over and over and over. I don't get it....and i don't see it. And Romo consistently flubs it up in the big games.
If i was a team, i'd pass on Romo. No thank you.

BTW, this is one of the only flaws of Gruden. I love the guy, love listening to him. I think he's fantastic. Certainly 100X more interesting than most of the working stiffs that the networks have in the booth.

I think the Cowgirls and Romo both need to go their separate ways after this season. It just wasn't meant to be. Maybe a new system will elevate his play.

The question is, what will Dallas want for him? A 1st round pick? Which teams are desperate for a quarterback?

The Jets come to mind.
