Troy has been exiting Steeler Nation for years and its now becoming costly for this team. Mundy is not the answer for replacing Troy and the Steelers need to do something GIANT this offseason to fill his shoes if not for next year maybe the following. DBs need to be top priority this coming draft day

Jake Locker's shoulder improving, but he won't go Thursday night.
by Terry McCormick OCTOBER 08, 2012 Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker will miss his second straight game with a left shoulder injury, according to TitanInsider.com. Locker dislocated his shoulder for the second time when the Titans lost at Houston and missed Sunday's game in Minnesota. He will sit out against the Pittsburgh Steelers on a short week Thursday night, but could be back in action by the time the Titans travel to Buffalo on Oct. 21. Matt Hasselbeck will make his second start in place of Locker when the Titans host Pittsburgh on Thursday Night Football. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/...-Steelers.html

Eh, maybe a safety. We've been drafting DBs, we just need to let them play. Lewis, Brown, and Allen are physical bump and run corners, not 10-yard cushion soft zone corners. Let them jostle receivers at the line rather than backpedal and try to "tackle the catch" and I think you'll see that we're OK at corner.

even if Troy is healthy come first Ravens game - it wouldn't be ridiculous to ask if he can last an entire game at this juncture, let alone a stretch of games.
It is what it is.

There you have it. We want these guys to fly across the field and make plays but to do it at his level with that much intensity takes a toll.

I don't see how Troy's style of play contributed to his calf injury. He's going to run no matter what style he plays.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 09, 2012 @ On the subject of Polamalu, it's ridiculous that some are ready to jettison one of the team's greatest players. "He's too injury-prone, blah, blah, blah," the critics say. I pretty much tune them out when they start that garbage. Last I checked, Polamalu played all 16 games in 2011. He played 14 games in 2010, when he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. Yes, he missed 11 games in 2009, but really, that was the exception, not the norm. This is a player who is as special as any man who has ever put on a uniform, not just for the Steelers, but for any team. He'll go out on his own terms. And he will be back this season and will again be a difference maker. In fact, many of the same bozos saying this is the end for Polamalu were probably the same people saying the Steelers should release Mendenhall. Polamalu's all-out style of play is going to lead to an injury here or there. But he's still one of the biggest difference makers in the league. http://www.observer-reporter.com/or/sidelines/
