Peter King unloads on the bumblebee unis this morning

I think this is what I didn't like about Week 8:

a. One word for those Steeler uniforms: vomitous.

b. Seriously, NFL: We know why you do these throwback uniforms. (Throwup, in this case.) You want fans to go buy another type of Steelers jersey for the holidays. That's what this about. And I defy you to find one self-respecting Steeler fan who would be caught dead in those mustard-and-mud striped jobs with the stupid numbers. And the socks. I think Margaret Hamilton wore those in The Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West.

c. If I called those jerseys ugly, it'd be a compliment compared to what they really are.

d. Dying to find out how you got James Harrison to put that garish garbage on.

the only fun thing about them was referring to them as the Pittsburgh Killer Bees throughout the entire game

Other than that - it is time for them to get an alternate jersey IMO. The 80th anniversary patch was enough for me.

More hatred for the prisoner uniforms from Thomas Boswell of The Washington Post

Pretty bad when a team wearing Three Stooges uniforms makes comedy of the Redskins

Thomas Boswell :
People love to rate all-time-ugly uniforms. But those were the first uniforms I ever saw that when I first glimpsed them I actually let out a "Arrrghh!"

They were THE WORST I have ever seen in any sport. Except maybe the year the Chicago White Sox wore the black-and-white uniforms that looked like short pants.

In a way, the Steelers HAD to win. How would you like to have to wear those uniforms, then for eternity be reminded that the day you wore them you lost (to the Redskins).

They should have worn black pants to make them look better, and I think the socks were the best part...

Lets be honest. Those things are putrid. They had their day. And that day was in 1934.
