I would think this is just a formality, in preparation for him to serve 6 months hard time. But if they are freeing up roster spots for him-- not sure what is going on.

I was excited by the pick, but I think if I were the Rooney's I would kick his azz to the curb for that fiasco. That was no innocent "made a young mistake" kind of thing-- that was pretty bad.

Ed Bouchette: My thoughts are just what I wrote on my blog lately, that the Steelers will need to make a roster move by 4 p.m. Wednesday and Ta'amu is the one I believe will be made.

young guy made a mistake...make him do serious community work and use his status a s a pro player to educate other young people of the seriousness of the problem..

but because the jails are privatized, yuns quick to send people to prison, to make money for prison owners

If he is found guilty of what he was charged with, then yes, he should be doing some jail time.

I also forgot to mention that this post is horrible.

Judges aren't privatized. Jails don't send people to jails.

Precisely. I am a Detention Officer at the County Level. IF he is found guilty he should get jail time because jail time fits that sort of crime. What he allegedly did is inexcusable and his status as a pro player shouldn't garner him special treatment.

No, a mistake is driving drunk and stopping when you get pulled over to face your stupid mistake. This dumbass ran, slammed into several parked cars, injured ppl, almost ran over police officers, resisted arrest, etc, etc. that is not a mistake. He deserves jail. He doesnt deserve to be in this team, nor on any. He can go be a thug in some shitty ghetto wishing he wasnt so stupid for the rest of his life simply because he has (hopefully) squandered a chance at a good life the rest of us can only wish we had. Very few are gifted enough to get the chance at an NFL career and fewer still make it, so if you are too stupid to realize you just got a shot with one of the best franchises, then you deserve to live a shitty life! Have fun in jail!
