Obama isn't holding any campaign events today or tomorrow.

But Romney, as a self-described "unemployed" person, has no actual power. He can't direct FEMA, he doesn't have a Situation Room in which to take Serious Photos with Serious People. And by most measures, he's trailing still trailing in the electoral college vote, so he also doesn't have the luxury of time. Which is why Romney already resumed the campaign again today in Ohio. Oh, wait, sorry, he held a, uh, "Storm Relief Event" to collect "flashlights, batteries, diapers, toothbrushes, mini-deodorants, fleece blankets, cereal, toilet paper and canned goods" bound for New Jersey. It was just a coincidence that the "Storm Relief Event" happened to take place in the country's most important swing state.

Gas Rationing in Yonkers

As the area around NYC disintegrates under the incompetence of Bloomberg and Obama, violence is increasing over gas, food, water, clothing, and shelter.

The mayor of Yonkers has just issued an order rationing gasoline to 10 gallons per customer as thousands stand in line with gas cans, waiting to buy some.



Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano signed an emergency order on Thursday, limiting all gasoline sales to 10 gallons per customer as the city deals with a shortage in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

The order, which prevents customers from purchasing more than 10 gallons over a 24-hour period, will be in effect “until further notice,” according to Spano’s office.

“As we enter day five of dealing with the impact of Hurricane Sandy, it has become clear that our gas supply is diminishing. Motorists are now driving to Westchester County, specifically Yonkers, to fill their gas tanks."

Well you can rely on some red state newspaper quoting some guy who probably is voting the straight GOP ticket or you can read the main newspapaer in New Jersey and read what the NJ power companies say - you make the call

Non-union utility crews from out of state can work in N.J., power companies say

Major utility companies in New Jersey said that they are welcoming any and all out-of-state crews helping to restore power, and have not refused any non-union contractors.

At least one media report out of Alabama claims that personnel from that state were turned away in Seaside Heights because they were not affiliated with a union.

“We take crews as they become available,” said Ron Morano, a spokesman for Jersey Central Power & Light. “Everyone understands this is an all-hands-on-deck event.”

He said crews from throughout the nation were now working in JCP&L’s service area, including from California, Idaho, Kentucky, Florida, Michigan and North Carolina.
