ESPN also employs Skip Bayless.
Take it with a grain of salt. |

I won't speak about ESPN because I cant watch them. I can barely watch any pre game analysis anymore. I will say Collinsworth, Simms and Prime time all seem to give Ben recognition. This year I have not heard a negative word about Ben. MVP season along with Peyton. My guess for the non love for Ben is because he isn't liked as much as guys like Ryan, Rivers or a Brees. You never hear the cliches thrown around such as, "he is a great young man", or pleasure to be around or other BS that these announcers spew. I don't live in Pittsburgh so I don't claim to no what is said from the local fans, restaurants, bars or other establishments that have dealings with him, maybe he has changed but based on a couple of years ago a friend in the sports business had nothing nice to say about the guy. With that said, I could care less. I am a Steelers fan and have been for 40 years, QB's come and go. I don't have to like Ben as a person to see he is a top 5 QB and probably top 3 in the league.Just my theory.

LOL
Exactly. Unlike most rookie QBs, he is given the entire playbook (not just 3 yard screens). In turn, he has more deep attempts than ANY other QB. I remember that in the pre-season, the veterans (eg Reggie Wayne, who is smart) couldn't keep up with his knowledge of the playbook. It's insane how good he is. [He is the ONLY player for whom I'd EVER consider swapping BB... but, that's because Luck is 9 years younger... and, well, probably because Luck is unlike any QB that we've ever seen: Montana's savvy; BB's escapability; Cam Newton's athleticism; John Elway's arm; Aaron Rodgers' scrambling ability; and, Phil Simms' accuracy.] |

Know who else would look good against the Jags' secondary? Anyone. ****ing anyone. Blaine Gabbert would look elite if he could throw against his own secondary and have to dodge pressure from that abortion that is that front 7.
