Tricky wording there. The underlying theme is that the Colts needed Manning, and were shit without him. Luck has elevated them somewhat, but if he left I expect they'd be shit again.

The Steelers, however, have shown in the past we can do ok without Ben. Not terribly dominant, perhaps, but certainly not shit. Batch and Lefty had shit games, but we assuredly are not shit without Ben.

losing our starting qb probably hurts us more than before because we're more of a passing team. back in the day when we had the bus and fast willie (in his prime), we were primarily a running team, so the qb was just a game manager.

now the qb is asked to win the game for us in the current system. if there's a huge dropoff in qb skill/ability in our system, then there's a huge drop off in overall offensive production. same case with indy where peyton was THE guy the offense was centered around.

Colts without Manning are winning! Maybe not last year but they are this year... Pats without Brady were 11-5... Rogers only missed 1 game and the back up broke all kinds of records!!! Ben is definitely top of the line....
