HAD to have been that.
i agree, we whould be proactive in trying to stockpile a player of that calibur but not our style. we're to scheme oriented anyways. best fit i heard was atlanta signing him and putting him opposite john abraham for a playoff run.

I listened to Babin's interview on ESPN. He seemed very relaxed and didn't get in a single dig at his ex-team or Reid. I think Babin was a cap casualty. He had a big salary of 5M/year and costs 800k against the cap so they free over 4M. The Eagles are high on Vinny Curry their 2nd rd draft pick from last year so they are saving some money.

La Canfora@JasonLaCanforaifNew team would owe remaining balance of $5.6M salary, $1.64M, if he is not claimed on waivers.

Jaguars claim Jason Babin off waivers from Eagles Babin was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday, one day after the Eagles waived him, according to a person informed of the team's acquisition of the 32-year-old pass rusher. The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the Jags haven't yet confirmed the claim, said eight teams put in claims for Babin, including the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders. Approximately 10 playoff contenders were ready to make a run at Babin had he cleared waivers. The Jaguars were second in waiver priority. The Kansas City Chiefs were first. Babin has $1.69 million remaining on his contract, which means the Jags are now on the hook for that amount. They'll also have the right to retain Babin and his $4.225-million non-guaranteed. base salary in 2013. He's due $6 million in base salary in each of the 2014 and2015 season http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...ivers/1732781/ http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/86...aguars-waivers |

I also have to put up with Filthadelphia fans all the time. No matter how dismal their season/team is, they just love it when the Steelers lose. They never shut up!
