Yeah, don't get me wrong, I like Legursky a lot, but let's be real he's no Colon or Pouncey and if DD is even half of what we hope he is, he's on a whole other level than Legursky too. He's a fantastic backup center but not much else.

Honestly, it all depends on which Colon turns out to be the true Colon. Will it be the one who takes a bunch of drive-killing penalties? Or the smart, in-control guy who showed up briefly for two weeks?

the guy who went up against Cincy is the Colon I want. He was having a great season until he was injured (surprise!) yet again. Ah well.

No way. Legursky is the odd man out in this situation. Colon is much better at guard and Pouncey will be needed at center. Legursky doesn't really hold the line as well as Pouncey and lets teams drive right up the center much too often. It is not good for the running game.

I mentioned this on another thread. Neither Pouncey or Legursky are big enough or strong enough to be an effective C-G combo over a 16 game season. Yep, they are great technicians, but just too light in the britches. Pounecy could be an all pro guard, but as a trap blocking guard. Watching him getting blown up by the likes of Cody, Ngata, and Keomatu when he had to play them man on man is a pretty good indicator, he's better suited at Center where he doesn't need to take on players man on man that ou weigh him by 40-50 lbs repeatedly.

Legs is a at best a stop gap at center, and a liability at guard. Jmo.

Has anyone seen any recent news on Decastro? He hasn't been on the practice injury reports, but there was no news around of when he might get a start. Assuming at this point he's just on standby in case of more injury?

I think he will definitely see the field, further injury or not. They used the IR exemption on him for a reason and if he's healthy he's gonna get action.
