Chargers were in prevent Def when the tide changed. Those stats are meanlingless. This was not a 10 point loss.

Every year there are several plays where we fall asleep and do not pick up a fumble, or get caught napping.Its continuing. they like getting caught with their pants down I guess.

If Tomlin doesn;t make them accountable that it will continue. It started the first game with IKE's horrible play for 6 games, and it continues with others doing the same shit.

I can't understand why we can't generate pass rush anymore.

For a while we were known as Blitzburgh and writing the book on rushing the passer. Then QBs like Brady, Manning, Brees and Rodgers would carve up the defense. They would pass the ball before rush got to the QB.

The smarter QBs would see where the blitz was coming and find the hot reads quickly. LeBeau had to adjust and send less guys on blitzes and more guys in pass protection. This exposed our DL. They were not designed to be pass rushers. They were guys who were to occupy the OL while the LBs were blitzing and rushing.

Now, should be change back to Blitzburgh? Probably not - because we still have the #1 or #2 defense in the NFL. Its does not have the panache and our blitz happy past but still very effective

ALOT of problems with this team yesterday but teh biggest exposed their teammates and that's the lack of pass rush. No pressure=DB's getting smoked! Nothing we can do, in this type of defense, if we don't get pressure. It's really that simple.

The worst part of not getting any pressure on Rivers was that they only had one starting O lineman in the game. In fact 3 of them were literally off the street and weren't playing in the NFL 6 days earlier.

Our D-Line consists of the out-of-shape fossils known as Brett Kiesel and Casey Hampton, and the 1st Round Draft Bust Ziggy Hood. I doubt they would get much penetration through a college line.

Dont get me wrong....I think WIllie has potential,but I think he doesnt work on his game and his body enough..... ....The Chemistry we had with that certain line-up was awesome.....Plus I like Legursky's Spirit.....Like I like Max Starks....I stood behind Starks for years while almost this whole board called him out and said he sucked......Max is a champion and a leader and says the right things for our youth to follow........

yea, you think we have problems protecting Ben right now? We must be the only team in the league who cannot protect their QB from the right side. Imagine if Starks wasn't there. He'd get squished from both sides.

Kudos to Starks for being a classy guy in the face of the Steelers shitting on him constantly, dangling the vet min and then they finally decide, yet again, he is their best option. We as fans should consider ourselves lucky that no one has picked him up for even slightly more.
