If there's one thing the Steelers need to prepare for (and hopefully they don't need to be told to do so..), it's to stop the outside/sideline passes.
Romo will be attacking the sidelines all day and also will be attacking the young CB's all day as well. We're having huge problems with stopping "out" routes. This was discussed all day today on every TV show that even metioned the Steelers. The whole world knows where we're weak - but at least we know to prepare as good as we possibly can.
The sideline passes are what killed us against the Chargers.

I hate to say it, but I think to stop that we need to think about dropping some of OLBs into shallow zones underneath those routes to force Romo to look more towards center-field (and hopefully, Polamalu's waiting hands).

Then again, putting more pressure on Romo will fix that too.

Key to beating the Cowboys= actually play 60 minutes of NFL football

true - but one of the things they were pointing out was that if we're rushing LB's, it will put our "not-so-good" cornerbacks on single coverage with the receivers - which gives them the better odds than us on succeeding.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

A key is also scoring TD's in red zone instead of FG. I am kinda stating the obvious I know but Cincy would have killed them if not for all the FG's. Dallas is not a good first half team they always start slow so put them away early and demoralize them.

If we can keep ourselves in the game by not kicking ourselves out of it, we can take this and the next 2. Hopefully last weeks disgusting display and the ass kicking they have been receiving in the press is the motivation they need to play at the caliber this team knows they can perform at.

The defense just needs to get off the field on 3rd downs. Now, I say that WITH the caveat that the offense needs to carry its mother effin weight for once in our lives. Can we get ANYBODY to step up. The defense can only make so many stops before they get gassed.

Now, I'm not saying that Ben needs to come out and say something specific for my sake - but, aren't any of these guys actually embarrassed at their capability vs. the body of work they've put out there? You'd think they'd get sick and tired of being asked why they can't do shit to carry this team, E_V_E_R.

COME ON OFFENSE.

Actually, I'm typing from my cell phone right now, and it has no problem with proper grammar and spelling. Want to know why? Because I taught the thing the right way when it autocorrected to the wrong word. Now it's a SMART phone.

I concur completely.

I watched DD for two seasons... wanting him... waiting for him... and here he is.

I have not been this excited about a draft pick since BB.

Yeah, I will leave this thread so you and your boyfriends can sword-fight in private..
Brother, I think that he was just trying to create a "look on the bright side of life" type of thread.

Because, there have already been plenty of venting and/or angry threads this week.

Make sense?
