This loss stung less than any to me

Why? Because it felt that one good team simply beat another.

Stupid mistakes? Geez, the Cowboys sure played perfect themselves. They woulda been up 10-0 if it wasn't for Harrisons forced fumble.

No shame in losing by 3 in OT to a solid team on the road. This wasn't NEARLY as bad as the Browns or Chargers game.

If we had won, we still would have to have beaten Cincy. Now instead of beating the Cowboys as the other game to get in, it's the Browns in Pitt.

Big deal. This team can and, mark my words, will continue on into the playoffs as usual.

I'll gladly accept any bets otherwise.

I'm a pretty positive guy about the Steelers, some may say with rose colored glasses, LOL. But unless the mental mistakes and turnovers stop we won't win both of the next two games. With our secondary as depleted as it is right now , we will be in trouble vs Cinci.
This team hasn't showed me the intensity I had hoped for the last 2 games and it cost us the division title.

Yea, and as everyone knows me as one of the pessimists - I even thought that the focus on fundamentals - fumbling on offense and tackling (backup CBs) would have been a lot better. I agree with OP - this loss stung less - but, still not what I want to see from a supposed playoff team. Cincy will give us fits, win or lose. And I believe Cleveland will do the same. Just no discipline and no signs of putting anything consistent together - hence the record. Sure, we can still get in - but we can't beat the bottom of the barrel or the middle of the packs - let alone the elite offenses and defenses (Texans, Pats, Broncos)

Big deal? The issue isn't THAT we lost. It's HOW we lost. And, it's not that we lost THIS time like that, it's that we've lost NUMEROUS times like that this season.

I'm going to "mark your words" and believe me, I'd be more than happy to admit that you're right. But, there's no evidence that this team is prepared to win next Sunday or the following.

Again, hope I'm wrong.

The ones that should have been won always sting the most for me. I could let the Chargers game go because it was obvious they were the better team and wanted it more that day. It was still depressing, but it was a clear loss.

I HATE (with a passion) losing close games and OT games. They just piss me off more lol.

We could beat the Rats again, and probably Indy. Not the Pats or Broncos. Maybe the Texans -- they're an excellent team but they may pucker up as the favorite, and/or they may be rusty.

This years team is just not that good. If it by some chance squeaks into the playoffs I wouldn't expect them to win anything. Can't win them every year and this was a punishing year starting out of the gate.
