Hey !, if you mean "sports-wise", then
..., you Pittsburgh'ians should be god-awful proud and happy for your city/state.
Correct if I'm wrong, '08?, you were the City of Champions, Superbowl + Stanley Cup, the only thing you missed was the Baseball "Penant".
Again, correct if I'm wrong, but Detroit, in the 50's, I forget what year, was the only city/state to win all 3 in the same year/season.

Personally, I'd rather have a "consistent" National Leader-of-the-pack in even just 2, than have 3 and then "NUTHIN'" for the next contimuing 60 years or so. ...
So ya, bitch-away if we have to, but it's still "ALL GOOD" so far, in the bigger picture, excluding Mayan Xmas Calendar's, of course.
:)

I'm not from pittsburgh but from the times I've been to the city and games it seems that most fans are very knowledgeable about the team and players and that no matter the circumstances true fans always have faith that the black and gold will get the job done. And when they win the city wins

Those of us in western PA are understandably pissed with the way our team has played this season, but we still have hope. We know tomorrow's game is do or die for this season. It's pretty much the same feelings as every other Steelers fan has. Some are pessimistic, others optimistic. Geographic location really doesn't have anything to do with it.

The Steelers have a fantastic fan base and there is no way one down year is going to change that. I like to compare the Steelers to the Bengals except is the opposite. The Steelers will have a down season every once in a while and the Bengals are the opposite by having a good season every once in a while, lol.

Well, I'm hoping the Bengals have two good seasons in a row, you can never say the Steelers have two bad seasons in a row. I have heard the 80's weren't all that good for the Steelers, but I don't remember that.

Are there people who are pissed here and willing to rant about the Steelers whether you want them to or not? Of course. Are these same people going to be cheering like Ahrn City crazed maniacs at every game despite that (be it at the house, local bar, tailgate, or stadium)? Damn straight.

The attitude towards our team will always be fine. Die hard fans of this team (especially those in the city/western Pa area) have been through ups and downs with them already, and know how to handle it. It's a more loyal relationship than most marriages.

We're good though. You'll hear us rant on the radio or at the bar, or at our Uncle's place, but we're good.

I nominate this post for the worst post of the year award!

The season ticket waiting list is up to 60,000 people. Your uncle lied to you. He didn't tell you how much money he lost on that trip to Vegas. Get a grip man.

Sure we get pissed off if we lose games, specially games you probably should win more than others. I've been just as mad as anyone else this season about our play, but each week I come back and stand behind my team n have confidence in them that they can win that week. I'm still confident we can make the playoffs and make it to the superbowl. I will never give up on any of the teams here, never have never will, lived here all my life and love having the teams we have (yes even the Pirates)

Regardless what the next fan from the burgh tells how bad they feel about the team after a bad week, they will be right back to the game or tv watching them cheering them on.

I don't get this thread!? I'm in California and have been bleeding black and gold for 35+ years, now 40! We have won 2 Superbowls as of recent, we have 6, more than ANY team! We are almost always in the hunt! A down season here and there will NOT have any real fan looking for the closest cliff to take the plunge! Not in Pittsburgh, not in Cali, not in China, NOWHERE!!!
