I know that many of my fellow fans may not find the proposition of Tim Tebow wearing a PGH Steelers Jersey very appealing but a case could be made for it to happen. First I will say that I am a huge fan of Big Ben, As a player i have nothing but respect for him. He has worked hard for us, put his body and health on the line for our beloved steelers. But the sad truth is this, he is nearing the end of his shelf life. Physically his body can not take much more of the abuse it has suffered. With that said, I would like to make a case for our front office to look at picking up the young Tebow. While his skill has not been completely honed yet, I believe he would fit in nicely with our smash mouth, in your face bring it style of play. Under the tutelage of Big Ben, and our coaching staff he has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks this team has seen. His size, agility, ability to scramble and prolong plays fits with our style of play. He has proven that if given the chance he can take a team all the way. If you strip away the mania which drives us all crazy, and look at his potential I think the rest of you will see the validity of this argument. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

You make a good argument, but I think he's going to end up in Jacksonville. And unless we can solve the RB situation, I don't think he'd be a good fit here.

I would say his inability to read a defense and his lack of accuracy prevent him from ever being a legitimate QB. If you want a QB who is able to run the ball like a RB then he is def your man.

Make him a 3rd down RB, emergency QB and back-up WR.
Just don't believe he'll have a career as a full time QB. He has talent that is wasting away someone just needs to use him correctly. |

he would be good as a backup imo. he's good at escaping pressure like ben, and what I like about him, is although he's not an elite QB, in his time as the denver QB he didn't often lose the game for the team.
backup qb should be just someone who can manage the game, and tebow can probably do that |

Jacksonville's is interest in Tebow is for box office draw ( and they certainly need help there) , not for his football skills.

Tebow will 99% be in Jax. Even if it is partly for the "box office draw" and immediate media attention they'll receive from the whole country, in reality, its worth it. That franchise REALLY needs it. It will be a god send for them.
