Default Wisenhunt fired...

You thinking what I'm thinking? I mean, why not? What did Haley do that Wisenhunt couldn't do?

Not going to happen. Rooneys committed to more than a one year experiment.

I don't think he'd come back after being passed overy by Tomlin for the head coaching job. Although it'd be nice if I was wrong. I'm hoping Haley goes.

He's still bitter that the Steelers picked the better coach over him. Let him go to Kansas City and let his career die. I never understood why everyone was so big on this guy - he obviously can't coach for shit. Starting 4-0 is great, but going 1-11 isn't.

They liked the job he did at OC. Not that I am disagreeing with you but that's why people liked Whisenhunt. Anyhow despite this year's disappointment, I still think we made the right choice. If you're going to criticize Tomlin "for winning with Cowher's players", you have to account for Whisenhunt only really winning when they had Warner there and not being able to draft or develop a heir which I think is a fair knock on him considering he made his bones as an offensive coach.

If we're going to dump Haley for a new OC, I say let's go for Norv Turner who is a clear upgrade.

I heard Reid finally got it in Philly. as did Turner in San Diego. It will be interesting to see who teams decide to hire. Probably your usual hot coordinator (hearing Kyle Shannahan), out of the league successful HC (Gruden), and then there will be moves out of left field. I think the only coaching vacancy we have is at O-Line coach since Kugler's taking the HC job at his alma mater.

It really is a waste of time talking bigtime "coaching changes" with the Steelers. Nobody is going anywhere. Knee jerk reactions kill me sometimes. Sign every bigtime FA, sign every fired head coach. It's the same formula EVERY off-season.

Constant change is for losing organizations. They will stay the course and return to the playoffs next season as Arizona and Cleveland will flounder for a couple of years after the changes.

If Haley gets a head coaching job somewhere, who knows. Wasn't he (Haley) said to be a possible candidate for the head coaching job in Arizona, in the event Whisenhunt was fired? Trading places.
