Another Clowns moment - Kelly apparently will not be the new coach

Sources: No Chip Kelly for Browns

The Cleveland Browns have decided to reboot their coach search after leaving Arizona late Sunday morning without landing Oregon's Chip Kelly, according to league sources.

For those sometimes frustrated by the Rooneys look around the league and consider the alternatives

to bad for Cleveland. From everything I read about Kelly, he's pretty much what they've been looking for. Maybe they thought he'd be another Butch Davis?

Apparently the Browns still want him but Kelly does not want them

Browns out as Eagles, Oregon Ducks jockey for Chip Kelly

Chip Kelly becoming head coach of the Browns appears unlikely. The Oregon coach, who as we've reported as always been 50-50 with regards to his NFL future, appears to be deciding between the Eagles and staying in Eugene....

The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Oregon booster Phil Knight has entered the fray and that he might be a big reason Kelly could return to Oregon

Can't really blame him for not wanting to go there. What Cleveland needs is that "Reggie White FA" type of player before anybody is going to want to be there. Same could be said for other teams like Oakland who are trying to get things back together.
