If I were making the selections, this is, at first glance, what I would do with our picks.
1.17 SS Kenny Vaccaro - Texas 2. OLB Sean Porter - Texas A&M 3. FS Bacarri Rambo - 4. WR Chris Harper - Kansas State 5. RB Mike Gillislee - Florida 6. CB Terry Hawthorne - Illinois 7. OG - Omoregie Uzzi - Georgia Tech I intentionally drafted different positions in each round, I specifically went with positions we need and a few guys who I think will 'fall under the radar'. People like Hawthorne & Harper are based more upon potential. Additionally I’ve heard some people say that 17 is too soon to pick Vacarro; while that may be true, it is a significant need and I do think that the Steelers have put themselves in a position where they may be forced to make such a bold move. Having said that, I could also see them trading back and acquiring a few extra picks. Someone on another board I comment on suggested “Also, we trade our 1.17 and 2.48 to the Vikings for 1.23, 2.53, 3.83 and 4.120(?). They have an extra 4th Rd pick, so they still have an early 4th. We've traded w/ them in the recent past and this gets the Vikes ahead of Chicago.” So if that were the case it would set us up like this 1.23—Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas 2.53—Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M 3.79--Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia 3.83—Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama 4.115(?)—Chris Harper, WR, Kansas State 4.120(?)—Zac Dysert, QB, Miami, OH 5.??—Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida 6.??—Terry Hawthorne, CB, Illinois 7.??—Omoregie Uzzi, OG, Georgia Tech 7.??—Joseph Fauria, TE, UCLA Fauria in the 7 th round, who is also possibly obtainable as a UDFA might be a pick based on his size alone, 6’7” 257”, and it is that size that would make him a commodity; he isn’t going be a blazing TE of the Graham/Gates mold, he’s going to be a much more physical TE, perhaps of the Gonzalez mold.

Repost this in the 2013 War Room forum to keep things organized and stuff.
It's not bad, though. I think Porter in the second is a little bit of an overdraft. |

I don't think drafting two safeties this year will help the Steelers in the long run. We need one young Safety this year and one young safety next year to keep a balance with this team. Plus, we need to improve our offense more this year, on defense we actually have people to step in and fill a role while on offense we're lacking that benefit. Here's how my Mock Draft would go. 1st. DE/OLB Ezekiel Ansah 2nd. RB Montee Ball* or TE Zach Ertz 3rd. WR Da'Rick Rogers 4th. FS D.J. Swearinger 5th. ILB Kevin Reddick 6th. DT Montori Hughes or OG Omoregie Uzzi 7th. QB Collin Klein *Only if the Steelers don't re-sign Mendenhall

I am expecting Sean Porters Combine to rise him back up again.
I actually think we need to go heavy defense, considering the extreme age there. I also think you have more faith in Worilds and Stevenson than I do.
