Ed doesn't think the Steelers will even make an attempt to keep Wallace? I didn't know the situation between him and the team was that bad.

I still think signing Lewis is a big must for the Steelers this offseason.

I think they're going to try to keep Wallace, but I think if we're going to keep Wallace around then guys like Troy, Harrison, Keisel, Colon, Foster, Foote and Starks all have to be released. On top of that, Ben and LT have to restructure their deals and, if we're confident in Woodley, then he has to as well. Look for AB to restructure his and in all likelihood, they'll be asking Ike to restructure his as well.

Now, I wouldn't be upset if all of that happened if I'm being honest. I'd rather have Lewis and Wallace than any combination of those guys that would be cut. Yes, that includes Troy.

As I mentioned on another thread, I see Gilbert as Starks... and Adams as Smith.

All I really know about Ed is that he thinks all fans are idiots and he is more or less correct but I just don't like his attitude about doing his job. Other than that, he's right. The only UFA we need to focus on is Lewis and if we lose him that would be a HUGE loss. Even though I do like Allen. I hate Brown and Van Dyke and any other would-be DB's we have on the roster.

Hell yeah.

We need Keenan a LOT more than we need Wallace. The Steelers have written him off-- they are not even entertaining the possibility that Wallace stays in a Steelers uniform, based on the language we are hearing from recent reports.

unfortunately i see Gilbert as Baby Huey (or Andrae Smith of the bungles) who lacks half the intelligence or maturity ofr Starks OR Smith.

Hope I'm wrong, but typically, successful high round OL drafted are 4 year graduates who have a decent head on their shoulders.
