yeah - I think Sid and Neal should be good

personally, I'd replace Kennedy with Boychuk, he's got some spark - I don't know why Bylsma has such a love affair with TK.

the plot thickens

@Dejan_Kovacevic: I just asked Bylsma to clarify if Malkin had headaches, disorientation at any point. He said Malkin hasn't had them at any point.

Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said Malkin was diagnosed with a concussion after slamming back-first into the end boards during Friday night's win over Florida.

Bylsma said Malkin, whose head snapped back when he hit the boards, initially suffered short-term memory loss, but he is improving. Still, Malkin will not join the team when it begins a three-game road swing Tuesday. "He's feeling fine and his memory is returning," Bylsma said

I'm beginning to hate 3-0 leads - but they hung on. Great game and congrats to Beau Bennett on his first NHL goal

Id rather they didnt score so fast, seems like they need to rely on the D alot then.
But, hey its a win and was a good game. Tampa's a fast team!

oh no - Penguins ‏@penguinsALERTPenguins have signed defenseman Mark Eaton to a one-year contract.

wtf? the league passed on him

Don't understand why you sign a DMan unless you're planning on no longer playing Bortuzzo or Despres...or maybe a trade in the works? Don't need 8 right now when you have 7 healthy.

And when Malkin comes back, who gets sent down?

Can't send Boychuk down he will become a Carolinas prospect again.

We have to be trading a D-man. I don't see any other reason.....Kennedy?

Well, they put Malkin on IR so they got at least a week to decide who goes down

speaking of trades, I'd go after Iginla or Kulemin....

interesting...

"Another name to watch, of course, before April 3 is Jarome Iginla. We don’t know yet if he’d be willing to waive his no-trade clause for a trade. But if he’s willing, and if the Flames are finally willing to move him, one team to keep an eye on is Pittsburgh. I believe the Penguins have interest in Iginla, who found success with Sidney Crosby on Team Canada at 2010 Olympics. The Penguins have also had success in the past with aging wingers Bill Guerin and Gary Roberts, two players in particular who found new life in their legs after arriving in Pittsburgh. Iginla would be a nice fit there, too."

UPDATES FROM BYLSMA
Following morning skate, coach Dan Bylsma had a few updates...
Tomas Vokoun will get the start in goal tonight against his former team
Mark Eaton will not play vs. the Panthers
Right now Evgeni Malkin, who is out with a concussion, is following protocol and is simply resting. No off-ice workouts for Malkin and no timetable on when he'll resume workouts
